I'm Bob Richmond, Kaiserslautern '55. I was at Kaiserslautern American
High School from shortly after the school opened in 1953, until I
graduated (and immediately returned to Texas) in 1955. I've listed all the people from the Fifties classes who've been found since about 1985. In the case of faculty, I've listed only the ones who were there when I was there. In revising this page I've deleted e-mail addresses. You may e-mail me to get most recent contact information. Names are listed by class, and alphabetically. Women are alphabetized by their maiden names, with married names (sometimes not current!) listed after a hyphen. (This will be our standard format for people who have changed their last names.) On this long page I've transcribed all the names of students and faculty from the Fifties Erinnerungen yearbooks and from graduation programs. This page will give you all the information we have about people's names, with those to-die-for middle initials. For the detectives among us. Another one for the detectives: in the 1960's Myrna Garwick-Bowman '54 published a newsletter that circulated among about forty Raiders. I've extracted all the clues about people from it and posted them. Have fun! - Now Myrna's newsletter lives! in the year 2000. In May 1998, just 43 years late, I wrote an account of our 1955 Senior Trip to Italy. And we still wanna go back there! The Littlest Raiders is an account of interments of military dependent children in Kaiserslautern from 1952 to 1971, with accounts of similar cemeteries at Frankfurt and in Lybia. Can anyone help with this project? This page about wacky Camp WACAYA may tickle your funnybone. Oompah WACAYA! May you find your lost love and your best buddy! Beat beat Heidelberg! "Class of 1951": Mary Aurelia Carlquist (Lee Lemmon) "Class of 1952": Barbara Driver-Gay (Of course, there were no classes of 1951 or 1952, since the school opened in 1953. Both these "alumnae" were actually older sisters of Raiders, and requested listing here. They lived at home in Vogelweh after graduating from Heidelberg High School.)
