Rhine High Forever
    Rhine High forever,
    we will sing to you.
    We'll defend your standards
    in whate'er we do.
    For honor and for glory,
    we will always fight.
In studies, sports, and spirit true,
we'll support our Red and White.

    Rhine High forever,
    we remember you.
    We recall old times there,
    loves and friendships true.
    We recall our heroes,
    who fought in Viet Nam's night;
o'er miles and years and smiles and tears,
we'll recall our Red and White.

Robert G. Long '55 is a medical missionary who worked in Taiwan for more than 20 years, and returned there in the summer of 2000. He and Judy worked in Viet Nam for a couple of years before returning to Taiwan, and their Web site describes what they were trying to do there. Bob is a physician who was working with TEAM, a missionary organization based in Wheaton IL. He and Judy are now retired in Columbia SC.

Bob and Judy wrote in August 2000: In returning to Taiwan we are returning to a familiar situation...Judy will help with administration and counseling for the Taiwan field...Please pray for our readjustment to Taiwan and for an effective spiritual as well as medical ministry for us for these next two years.

Bob wrote the words and music for the old school song in 1954. Robert S. Richmond '55 respectfully adds a second verse in 1998. The song was very well received in 1954, and was sung at assemblies and on similar occasions. Younger alumni record that "Rhine High Forever" continued in use until about 1972, when it unaccountably disappeared. It has been sung at a number of KAHS reunions.

Bob Long wrote out the words and music in 1998. I finally managed, using Melody Assistant, to transcribe the music into a MIDI file.
